By looking at the audience and spotting the opportunities where a baking goods brand, Switz, could lend a helping hand. We used the Switz brand positioning “Bless Her Hands”, a phrase in Arabic widely used to say thank you to a woman who made something for you (namely a special dish), for inspiration for 2 innovative tech products that inspired CSR campaigns.
Idea one was an app called “Helping Hand”, based on the insight even though moms know it all, every mom needs a mom too sometimes. Whether it’s cooking or family advice, the app would allow you to create an account and connect with your mom at any time to ask for help, tips or advice on any topic.
The second idea was named “Caramel”. It is a wearable device for moms who are visually impaired as we found that they are a niche market in the region that are underserved. All moms develop a routine in the kitchen and know how to make their signature dishes, because only they know how much a “pinch” of salt is for their recipe. How about those moms that rely only on touch for cooking? This app could help them learn new recipes through audio and can give them tips on how to check if things are ready without the need for sight.
